One of the perks of owning and playing with a Bitverse NFT Hero is the ability to retain your progress and items! This guide explains what we mean by that and how it works.
There are now two types of items in the Bitverse: Hero Bound and Player Bound.
- Hero Bound - These items are associated with a specific Hero. These Items stay with that Hero, and are only accessible while that Hero is being used. All Hero Bound Items associated with a Bitverse NFT Hero stay with that Hero if the owner relinquishes ownership.
- Example of Hero Bound Asset: Weapons, Mounts, Pets
- Player Bound - These items are associated with a player’s account and stay with the player. They are accessible at any time by any Hero. All Player Bound Items associated with a Player Account stay with that Player regardless of their Hero and Bitverse Hero statuses.
- Example of Player Bound Asset: Gold, Gems, Scroll of Item Find, and NFT Items (NFT items releasing at a later date)
Items in game will display either a “Hero Bound” or “Player Bound” tag in their thumbnail.
Player Boosts
there are some Consumables, when consumed, apply Boosts directly to the Player. This is important to note because these Boosts, while active on the Player, provide their benefit to any current Hero.
This allows players, with an active Boost, to play one hero, use all of that Hero’s resources then swap to another Hero to do the same, continuing this process with all their heroes, maximizing the uptime of their boosts.
When a player uses a consumable that yields a resource (energy, tickets, badges, tokens, shards, xeals), the resources gained are added to the current Hero being played.
